Helen grew up in rural southwestern Ontario and worked in public relations before becoming a lawyer. She holds a B.A. in English and History from Western University and an M.A. in English from the University of Toronto. She earned her J.D. from Western Law in 2013.

After her call to the bar in 2014, Helen practiced at a law firm in Simcoe, Ontario before joining Gunn & Associates as an associate in January, 2020. She serves clients in a range of practice areas including estate planning and administration, guardianships, corporate law and real estate.

Helen is an active volunteer and has held positions on a number of not-for-profit boards, including the Norfolk Association for Community Living, Routes to Roots Film Festival and the St. William Conservation Reserve. She also enjoys choral singing, hiking, cooking and reading.
